Atrium Studio School in Ashburton will be giving young people the opportunity to meet their employers of the future at a very special careers event next month.
Octoberfest, on October 17th, is a chance for students to connect with some of the area’s leading employers, who are business partners of Atrium.
The event, held every year, will also have plenty of fun for younger children – there will be free pumpkin carvings ahead of Halloween, cake and food stalls, and arts and crafts.
Principal Sam Morcumb said: “Atrium is all about helping our young people be well-rounded individuals who employers want and who will succeed in the world of work”.
“Octoberfest is a chance for Atrium to showcase itself, our strength in creativity and STEM subjects, and to bring together industry and our students. It’s a great event which has real value to business and to young people equally. We are keen to invite our local community to see form themselves why one of our parents recently emailed us:
‘For the first time in years he is happy, positive and engaged with school and he wants to tell us about his day and what he has achieved’.”
Octoberfest is on 17th October between 3.30pm and 6.30pm at Atrium Studio School in Balland Lane, Ashburton. There is no need to sign up and all are welcome. For more information, please call 01364 655399.
